I love Taylor Swift. Everything that is said here is 100% true! During the summer I listned to all of her popular songs and I still love them but my favorite song of hers now is called "Pictures to Burn". You can really relate to her lyrics. Good Choice!There are very little artists like her and It was a really cool fact that she made her label. Usually its the other way around!

Album Review

ALBUM: Across The Universe Sountrack
Music and Lyrics by: The Beatles
Preformed By:Jim Sturgess;Evan Rachel Wood

Jim Sturgess puts a modern rock twist on these 60's classic songs. Even better he and Evan have a pure acoustic feel that was constant of the 60's, giving the music an authentic feel. The album has a good mix of songs from the movie that all pull on different emotions. Some sad and real, take Hey Jude, and others physodelic and crazy but insanly fun like I am the Walrus and For The Benifit Of Mr. Kite(not on the album but in movie). The fact that only two people sing the album really pulls the sounds together and makes the album feel very whole and together. Jim Sturguss's amazing acent, musical stylings and 60's good looks make for a great time.

Jim's accent makes the begining of this song really pulls you in and exciteds you with the acoustic hollowness of his voice.At about 30 seconds into the song, the drums come in which I think overpower his voice somewhat. Catchy beat and instrumentals.
2. I Want to Hold You Hand
Evan's voice is reminisant of Janis Joplin in this song. Guitar again to powerful, hold her back. Repetive and a little boring.
3. It Won't Be Long:
Evan's voice is very catchy in this song. First it has a girl band feel and then transfers to Beach Surfer Rock. The lead guitar gives the surfer feel. Her voice is much more appealing than in the prevoius song. Intruments do not overpower for once.
4. I've Just Seen a Face
John's voice is scrumptous in this song. GREAT beat. I truly think this song is the best of the album. To short though.
5. Let It Be
This does not sound like John but It is. His voice changes greatly. I love the piano about 45 second into the song. Sums up the era. Choir/church singing that I love. Very Short. Seems that most of the songs on the album are relativly short.

Required Listning! :D
Heyyyy,
so today we got an assignment to listne to a list of songs that range from the 1950's to the 1970's. I really like listning to the 1950's music. I'm weird. but its cute and fun. So I'm going to tell you about 3 different songs from that time.
1:
Bill Haley and His Comets: "Rock around the Clock"
This song was really fun. I have heard this since I was really little and have always loved it. Something about 50's music really puts me in a good mood, and this to me is the ipitimy of 50's music. Someone who has never heard this song, should know that it was made a long time ago when this was the style and not to judge it by that. They should know that this song is a mix of rock and country that at that time was verryyyyy popular and called Rockabilly!
2: Little Richard "Tutti Fruitti"
I love this song!! Another totally feel good song! I can be in any mood at at all and all i have to do is listne to little richard and im happy. I picked this song beacuse I though that it was intresting that Pat Boone redid and how badly he did it. (see #3) Someone who has never heard this song all you need to know: (insert movie of little richard here) (at home this weekened )
#3 Pat Boone Tuttie Fruitti:
I chose this song beacuse it is the perfect example of how 1950's record companies tried to "clean up" African American muscians and their music. This song was taken from Little Richard and rerecorded by Pat Boone. I really hated this version of this song. The whole appeal of the song is that it is electric and fun. All of that was sucked out of it when Pat sang it. Basically what someone would need to know is that what I've already said about the electricity of the song. Just listne to both versions.

2nd book responce BLOG STYLE
hey guys. my loyal readers. i mean spencer. haha
This book is just getting more and more weird but good. Its getting very intresting.
Some things that really stike me about the book, is its shock value. Every new developement is shocking, from Ruth's strange love affair with her father, to Hagar going crazy and to the 7 days. Crazy man. I am really starting to like this book. It is getting a whole lot more intresting than it was in the begining!

1st Book response BLOG STYLE
I think that this book, first of all is starting to get good, but it is also starting to get weird. I think I shall write about the first parts of the book and some parts that stumped me and I had to take notes, summeraize and re read before i understood.
On page 91 in Song Of Solomon, i had to do just that. First of all I took detailed notes on another sheet of paper for this entire section. But this page confused me a little and I had to the read the passage " She was the therd beer. Not the first one, which the throat recives with almost trearful gratitude; nor the second, that confirms and extends the pleasure of the first. But the third, the one you drink beacuse its there, beacuse it cant hurt, and beacuse what difference does it make?
At first I had no idea so I tried to imagine this. Like when you are thirsty and you finally get something to drink. But I still could not just imagine it, so I tried it (with soda, not beer hah) and I realized what he meant. The first is really great that you want another, so you have another and its pretty good, but then the third one's sitting in the fridge and looks tempting to you drink it beacuse its there. That method of trying something for myself helped me understand the meaning of the text.

Sunday October 14th
Today I did a lot of work on the script. I agree with Spencer when he said that a lot of our script was fluff and surface stuff with not much meat. So i did a script overhaul and changed mostly everthing. It was pretty cool. My dog layed with me the whole time though he was sleeping so he didnt do a whole lot. He really has a nicer life than me. hahah back to the project.
There was a time that I was really freaking out about this project. But now its really been going smothly. fuck now i jinxed it. But anyway its been going pretty well. The flash is almost done, the script is done and the interview is recoded. Now we just need to start getting pictures and start putting the film together. Thats what I am going to do now. Get pictures.

Arggggg. sometimes i swear i could kill my family. My sister mostly. She always gets what she wants and latly its been getting in the way of school.
She lost my calulator,
She aways makes me change computers if she has something saved on it, that I dont mind but.....
she cant cant cant EVER return the favor.
so last night (thursday)
I had to get out my laptop and email everything to it and work on there.
Yesterday I learned that our final draft of the script is due. shit. its not even close to being done.
Junoir is doing a lot better. He got what I was saying about the flash and redid it. It looks pretty good now. Now its my job to finish the script by monday. So it looks like I will have no life this weekend. poor me. dont you feel sorry for me?? hah.
